After many months quietly toiling away behind my desk, I'm thrilled to finally welcome you to Hugs With Arms.
It was a little over a year ago that I decided to build a space to connect community-minded artists with people who want something meaningful to hang on their walls.
Spurred by stories of talented artist friends who struggle to make ends meet, I wanted to do something to help them focus on what they're best at — creating art and social change — while making it easier for the rest of us to buy affordable art that speaks to us.
It's a modest start, but Hugs With Arms is now here to help bridge that gap and fill your walls with art for folks who give a damn.
Here's how it works.
Each month we'll release several new art prints. (Be sure to sign up for email updates to get the latest scoop.) You'll find photography, illustration, painting — pretty much anything that can be reproduced in two dimensions.
Our limited-edition prints are available in three sizes:
- 8" x 10" — editions of 200 — $25
- 11" x 14" — editions of 200 — $60
- 16" x 20" — editions of 50 — $200
When you buy a print, 50% of the list price goes straight to the artist, which helps them earn a living and supports the work they do in their communities.
We also offer a curated selection of prints from artwork in the public domain, which will often support causes we believe in — such as our micrograph ebola virus prints that fund Doctors Without Borders' work in West Africa.
We would love to hear from you.
