Bob Preston: Nope
- Artist Bio

- Print Details
Bob Preston has a passion for photography and building machines that create a photographic image. Based in Victoria, British Columbia, Bob also works in graphic design and web design. Oh, and he really, really wants to depose of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
"We need to remove Stephen Harper from office before he does any more damage to Canada. As an artist I wanted to create something that would rally people to that cause. The idea of combining my love of poster design with political activism and using the internet to spread the image across the country seemed like a good idea.
"I originally made this image for the 2011 election and it was embraced by many during that campaign. In 2015 its popularity has far surpassed 2011. I have been receiving emails daily since before the election was called from people asking if they could make the Nope image into not only posters but stickers, T Shirts and lawn signs, or use it as part of their own Anti-Harper campaigns.
"When I look at the traffic to my website it is heartening to see that a large number of people in Canada and also around the world have downloaded the image or posted it to Social media. Let’s hope the whole country says NOPE this time."
